Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Porchlight, run by Assertive Agency. By creating an account or using Porchlight you agree to them. Questions go to hello@porchlighthub.com.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 and give accurate details. One person per account; agencies can manage several businesses inside one account on plans that allow it.
• Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
• Only add businesses you own or are allowed to market.

Plans and payments

• The Free plan includes 10 posts a month. Paid plans include the posts for each business and the number of businesses shown on the Pricing page. Unused posts don't roll over.
• If you choose a paid plan, you can see 5 posts before paying. The rest unlock once payment goes through.
• Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and may exclude taxes that apply where you are.
• You can cancel at any time from the Account page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund partial months unless the law requires it.
• If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until it is sorted out.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next renewal.

Your content

• You keep ownership of your website content, logo and brand. You give us permission to use them only to create, show and publish your posts.
• The posts we create for you are yours to use.
• Posts are written with AI. Check each post before you approve it, especially prices, offers, opening hours and claims. You are responsible for what you publish.
• Stock photos come from Pexels under its license.

Publishing

Nothing is posted without your approval. If you connect social accounts, you allow us to publish the posts you approve on the dates you choose. Each platform's own rules also apply, and we are not responsible if a platform removes a post or limits an account.

Fair use

Don't misuse Porchlight: no spam, no misleading or illegal content, no attempts to get around plan limits, scrape the service, overload it or access other people's accounts. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability

We work to keep Porchlight running smoothly but can't promise it will never be interrupted. Features may change as we improve the product.

Liability

Porchlight is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or business, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may close accounts that break these terms, with notice where possible.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes we will let you know by email or in the app.
