Most local businesses don't need to post every day. They need to post often enough that a customer who checks their page sees a business that is open, busy and looking after people.
The short answer
Three posts a week is a good target for most service businesses. It keeps your page fresh, gives Google Business Profile regular updates, and is realistic to keep going for a whole year.
Why consistency beats volume
A page that posted 30 times in January and nothing since looks worse than a page with two posts every week. Customers notice gaps. So do the platforms, which tend to show regular posters to more people.
A simple weekly rhythm
- Monday: a helpful tip customers can use at home
- Wednesday: a service you offer, explained in plain words
- Friday: proof that you do good work, such as a finished job, a review or a team photo
Where to post first
If you only have time for one place, start with your Google Business Profile. It shows up when people search for you and for services near them. Facebook and Instagram come next for most home service and health businesses, and LinkedIn for professional services like law and accounting.
Make it easy on yourself
Plan a month at a time, not a day at a time. Write or approve a batch of posts in one sitting, schedule them, and then get back to running your business.
